The Floral Hook (ravelry): rich, dense, decorative. Complicated and colorful floral blocks easily adjusted for any yarn/hook. Cheap patterns, somewhat difficult, but very rewarding. Freebies
Kirsten Holloway (ravelry): matching monochrome sets with decorative stitch patterns. More free than paid.
Leadlight Mittens: my favorite fingerless gloves and an excellent way to learn fair isle/tapestry crochet. Paid pattern.
Birch Cable Socks (ravelry): one of my faves. Soft and comfy for winter. Paid pattern.
Sunday Collar (ravelry): very cute, great for playing with color combinations. Best with thinner yarn weights/small hook. Paid pattern.
Moth Invasion: what got me started crocheting in the first place. Tiny amigurumi, free pattern.
Spring Blooms Coaster: I have these all around my house. Quick, fun, and free.
